Asset Finance Vendor Development Manager

About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Asset Finance Vendor Development Manager to join the Leasing division of a market‑leading provider of commercial finance. You will work closely with the Senior Business Development Manager to implement vendor strategies and grow profitable vendor programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve vendor sales and profitability targets for the business.
• Collaborate with the Senior BDM Vendor to expand vendor programmes into new sectors and develop internal strategies for residual value positions based on market research.
• Drive implementation and adoption of new technology, such as an internal portal, to accelerate decision‑making.
• Work closely with internal functions (Risk, Finance, Sales Support, Pay Out & Activations) to ensure professional presentation and smooth transition of new business.
• Partner with Risk and Collections teams to manage defaults and protect company profitability.
• Secure at‑risk assets and support efficient disposal when required.
• Focus 100% on hunting new vendor programmes, working closely with Account Management BDMs.
• Collaborate as a senior member to shape strategy, policy and culture within the business.
• Influence cross‑functional teams to deliver a first‑class customer service proposition and appropriate risk framework supporting growth plans.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a field‑based Asset Finance Sales role (essential).
• Proven ability to build and develop lasting relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
