Asset Manager – District Heating

About the role

Hemiko is seeking an Asset Manager to lead the development, construction, optimisation and growth of district heating network assets. Reporting to the Assets and Utilities Director, you will work across the full project lifecycle, ensuring safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery while driving performance and value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the senior point of contact for stakeholders and contracted customers, managing relationships and escalations.
• Collaborate with Development and Connection teams to identify growth opportunities and devise expansion strategies for the heat network.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, regulations and industry standards, administering agreements with authorities and customers.
• Monitor, analyse and report asset performance, risks and potential for growth, and recommend improvement actions.
• Manage financial models and documentation to evaluate actual and forecast performance against investment cases.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contract negotiation, commercial and financial assessment for energy infrastructure assets.
• Strong background in financial and management accounting, budgeting, cost control and financial modelling.
• Ability to enforce contractual obligations, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Experience developing and executing strategic plans to optimise asset performance.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial modelling and analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
