Asset Manager

About the role

Positive Employment is recruiting an Asset Manager for a local government organisation in Kensington. The role will oversee the residential and commercial asset portfolio, ensuring compliance with the Asset Management Strategy and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor technical and design standards aligned with strategic asset objectives.
• Coordinate delivery of asset‑related projects with internal teams, contractors and consultants.
• Analyse stock condition and performance data to inform lifecycle planning and investment decisions.
• Provide inputs for asset reviews, financial modelling and scenario testing.
• Produce performance and compliance reports for strategic decision‑making.
• Integrate requirements from Energy, Sustainability, Fire Safety and Resident Safety teams into project specifications.
• Embed technical standards and KPIs in procurement documentation and evaluate bidder responses.
• Advise on design issues, focusing on asset lifecycle performance across new build and refurbishment programmes.
• Research and apply innovative technologies and materials to improve asset performance.
• Maintain effective relationships with residents, tenants, contractors and consultants.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering asset management across residential and commercial portfolios.
• Strong understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Ability to develop and monitor technical standards and design frameworks.
• Analytical skills for interpreting asset performance data and informing investment decisions.
• Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary project teams and external consultants.
