Asset Sustainability Manager

About the role

Stonewater is seeking an Asset Sustainability Manager to join its Environment & Sustainability team. The role will help shape and deliver retrofit and decarbonisation programmes that improve the energy efficiency of thousands of homes, reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of Stonewater’s Sustainability Strategy and national retrofit programme.
• Analyse property data and conduct energy modelling to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and influence future energy‑efficiency investment programmes.
• Assist with grant‑funding applications and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
• Monitor and report on programme performance and environmental outcomes.
• Maintain high‑quality asset, energy and environmental data.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging legislation, regulations and best practice.
• Produce guidance, reports and process documentation for organisational delivery.
• Review and approve recommendations from external retrofit coordinators or consultants.

Required profile

• Experience in an energy, sustainability, retrofit or environmental role.
• Knowledge of energy‑efficiency measures, decarbonisation and retrofit solutions for residential properties.
• Understanding of SAP, RdSAP and PAS2035 principles.
• Experience with grant‑funded programmes and performance reporting.
• Familiarity with relevant environmental legislation and building regulations.
• Strong numerical, analytical and reporting abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, improvement‑focused mindset.
