Assistant Accountant – Finance Support

About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join a progressive, growing organisation in Guildford. You will support a busy finance function, handling month‑end ledger close, bank reconciliations and other key accounting tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with month‑end ledger close and related reporting.
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
- Update accruals, pre‑payments and the fixed‑asset register.
- Support inter‑company accounts and reconciliations.
- Contribute to the month‑end process for three entities as the role expands.
Required profile
- AAT Level 3 or Level 4 qualification.
- Experience of month‑end ledger close and reconciliations.
- Familiarity with updating accruals, pre‑payments and fixed‑asset registers.
- Ability to work in a small, friendly team and be locally based.
