Assistant Acoustic Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Acoustic Consultant to join a respected acoustic consultancy in Leeds. This is an excellent entry‑level opportunity for a graduate or early‑career acoustician to develop practical skills across a wide range of projects, from residential and commercial buildings to major infrastructure schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with environmental noise surveys, monitoring and data analysis.
• Support architectural and building acoustics assessments, including calculations and modelling.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for clients and internal teams.
• Conduct site visits, liaise with clients and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Work alongside senior consultants to deliver projects from inception through to completion.

Required profile

• A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Genuine interest in building and environmental acoustics.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• A full UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Understanding of UK acoustic standards and best practice.
