Assistant Block Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Block Manager to support the management of a residential block portfolio in Dorking. This permanent, full‑time position offers a supportive environment where you can develop your block‑management expertise while delivering high‑quality service to leaseholders and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a residential block‑management portfolio, liaising with leaseholders and contractors.
• Administer Section 20 consultation processes.
• Arrange repairs, maintenance and contractor works.
• Prepare service‑charge budgets and monitor expenditure.
• Attend client meetings, site inspections and annual general meetings.
• Ensure compliance with leasehold legislation and property regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in residential block management.
• Knowledge of Section 20 legislation and consultation procedures.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Professional, calm approach when handling issues.
• Ability to build relationships with leaseholders, clients and contractors.
• Good problem‑solving and customer‑service skills.
