Assistant Branch Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Branch Manager to support the daily operation of our retail branch in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. Working closely with the Branch Manager, you will help drive sales, ensure a high level of customer service and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close the branch on schedule and record staff absences accurately.
• Support the Branch Manager in business development, logging all calls and prospect activities in the CRM system.
• Assist in acquiring new customers and guiding them through the prospect process.
• Contribute to the monthly Balanced Scorecard and respond promptly to out‑of‑hours issues.
• Maintain efficient store procedures, including end‑of‑day filing and action‑plan creation.
• Handle first‑line disciplinary and performance matters, monitoring early signs of issues.
• Support staff development through product and sales training.
• Ensure all customers are greeted, needs identified and solutions offered enthusiastically.
• Oversee store promotions, yearly stock take and PPI investigations.
• Maintain PCI DSS‑compliant documentation storage and enforce health and safety policies.
