Assistant Bridge Engineer – Highways Structures

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Bridge Engineer to join our Structures & Geotechnical team in Birmingham. You will support the delivery of highways structures projects for National Highways, TfL, SDF and other major clients, gaining exposure to nationally significant infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Lead Engineers with the design and delivery of bridge and highway structure schemes.
• Carry out investigations, inspections, data analysis and design development.
• Produce technical designs, drawings and project documentation.
• Undertake site visits and apply DMRB/MCHW standards.
• Promote SHEQ, CDM and health & safety compliance throughout activities.

Required profile

• Qualified in Civil Engineering (Degree, HNC or HND).
• Working towards Incorporated or Chartered status.
• Interest or experience in highways structures design.
• Familiarity with DMRB and MCHW standards.
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
