Assistant Buyer – Beauty (Face & Body)

About the role

As an Assistant Buyer for the Face + Body category at ASOS, you will support the buying team in curating a balanced, trend‑led beauty range for the ASOS consumer. You will help manage existing brand partnerships, identify growth opportunities and assist in launching new products.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Buyer in selecting and building a commercial, balanced range of global beauty products.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the beauty market, pricing, product and macro trends.
• Identify emerging brands and key trends to keep the assortment fresh and relevant.
• Build and nurture relationships with brand partners, implementing joint business plans to meet KPI targets.
• Analyse sales and profit data, using reporting to drive decision‑making and achieve departmental KPIs.
• Contribute to department strategy by identifying risks and opportunities, presenting data‑backed recommendations.
• Manage the critical path to ensure launch dates and key milestones are met.
• Collaborate with Marketing, ASOS Media Group, Digital Trade, Supply Chain and other internal stakeholders to maximise product visibility and support day‑to‑day operations.
• Support training and development of buying assistants within the team.

Required profile

• Strong interest and up‑to‑date knowledge of the global beauty market.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actions.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with external brand partners and internal teams.
• Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Collaborative attitude, comfortable working across Marketing, Digital Trade, Supply Chain and other functions.
