Assistant Buyer – Women’s Ready-to-Wear

About the role

Browns Fashion is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the Women’s Ready-to-Wear (RTW) department. You will work closely with the Buyer to develop and execute the buying strategy, helping the category achieve its growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Buyer in shaping the Women’s Designer RTW strategy and tactical plans.
• Research and propose new designers, positioning Browns as an incubator for emerging talent.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and manage stock and trading positions.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Brand Engagement, and Retail teams to drive commercial performance.
• Analyse sales data, monitor sell‑through, and implement trading actions to improve performance.
• Manage the reorder process, analysing stock cover to maximise opportunities.
• Oversee the Order Tracker during market, handle selections, orders, and brand communications.
• Maintain website data, vendor packs, weekly sales reports, and internal attribution documents.
• Support the merchandising team with range‑plan data integrity and seasonal trend presentations.
