Assistant Client Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Client Accountant to join a small, well‑established professional services firm in Chipping Sodbury. You will support the management of a diverse client portfolio, delivering accurate accounting and finance services while building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
• Prepare, review and file financial statements and reports in line with regulatory standards.
• Provide expert advice on accounting, finance and tax matters to clients.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance for assigned clients.
• Support junior team members and contribute to their development.
• Identify and implement improvements to internal processes and workflows.

Required profile

• Strong background in accounting and finance, preferably within professional services.
• Relevant qualifications such as AAT, QBE, ACA or ACCA (newly qualified or part‑qualified acceptable).
• Good understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple client portfolios.
