Assistant Commercial Manager

About the role

The Body Shop is seeking an experienced Assistant Commercial Manager to provide data‑driven analytics and insight that support commercial decision‑making, with the aim of maximising profitability and growth. The role is split between our London and Brighton offices, working two days on‑site and three days remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the Core Range Plan and support the addition of new product developments, gifts and limited editions.
• Run reports to deliver key insight and analysis for commercial decisions.
• Ensure system accuracy for all core product attributes.
• Support the Commercial Manager with the Global Trading calendar, ATS and stock opportunity requirements.
• Provide COG change feedback to sourcing and assist with ad‑hoc NPD COG tasks.
• Collaborate with the Commercial pricing team to enable accurate credits for trading offers and promotions.
• Assist the NPD Manager with trading stock management and analysis for business cases.
• Analyse global commercial KPIs such as core category insight, product lifecycles, SKU counts and market gaps.
• Contribute to global commercial projects as required.

Required profile

• Highly analytical with comfort handling large data sets.
• Strong organisational, prioritisation and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team‑player mindset with a customer‑focused approach.
• Experience in a merchandising or commercial role is advantageous.
• Experience in an omni‑channel environment is a plus.
