Assistant Construction Contracts Manager

About the role

Premier Work Support is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Construction Contracts Manager to support a growing commercial construction team in Billingshurst. This permanent position offers hands‑on experience across multiple live projects while working closely with senior managers.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Contracts Manager across 3‑6 active sites throughout England.
• Assist with contract administration, budget tracking, stock management and security coordination.
• Liaise with Site Managers to ensure health & safety compliance and efficient project execution.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and audit records for project handovers.
• Travel to various sites, including long‑distance journeys and occasional overnight stays, with flexibility.

Required profile

• Ambitious, honest, reliable and eager to learn.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with a practical mindset.
• Ability to work independently and willingness to travel.
• Minimum age 21 + and a valid driving licence.
• Confident using Windows‑based software, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Interest or background in the construction industry.

What we offer

• Starting salary of £36,000 per year, with potential increase after a 3‑month probation.
