About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Cook to join Chilworth House Upper School in Wheatley. Working 32 hours a week, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals to students, staff and visitors, supporting the school’s commitment to healthy eating.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following the school’s menu plans.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health‑and‑safety compliance.
- Assist in planning meals, taking into account dietary requirements and allergies.
- Serve meals to pupils and staff, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and stocked.
Required profile
- Experience in a professional catering environment, or a competent home cook.
- Ability to start in September 2026 and work 32 hours per week.
- Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
