Assistant Finance Analyst – Hybrid (2 days onsite)

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established organisation to recruit an Assistant Finance Analyst for their Group Finance team. This hybrid role (2 days in the office, 3 days remote) offers a chance to develop analytical expertise while supporting financial insight, reporting and decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation and analysis of actuals, budgets and forecasts.
• Analyse financial data to spot trends, patterns and anomalies.
• Review performance variances and provide meaningful insight to stakeholders.
• Validate and review financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Respond promptly to internal finance queries.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and ways of working.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience supporting financial reporting, planning or analysis.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive, organised and able to take ownership of tasks.
• Confident communicator comfortable working with a range of stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness and a focus on continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Understanding of income and expenditure reporting.
• Experience with accruals and pre‑payments.

What we offer

• Salary between £30,000 and £31,000 per year.
• Hybrid working model – two days per week onsite in Speke.
• Three‑month temporary contract with strong potential to become permanent.
