Assistant Financial Accountant (Interim)

About the role

We are looking for an interim Assistant Financial Accountant to join Global Commercial Business in Swindon. The position is temporary, lasting at least three months with a strong possibility of extension, and will work within a busy finance department.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end and financial reporting processes.
• Prepare and reconcile deferred revenue reports.
• Assist with external audit activities and provide necessary documentation.
• Perform general ledger maintenance and related tasks.
• Contribute to statutory reporting and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain and update the fixed‑asset register.

Required profile

• Organised, analytical finance professional comfortable across multiple finance disciplines.
• Strong understanding of MS Excel with ability to manipulate large data sets.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Experience with ERP or other finance systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
