Assistant Fund Accountant – Hybrid – £30k-£35k

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Fund Accountant to join our established fund accounting team in Basingstoke. This hybrid position offers a supportive environment where you will work closely with experienced colleagues and develop your technical accounting skills.

Key responsibilities

• Process and maintain accurate accounting records for a portfolio of fund structures.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Assist with investor drawdown and distribution processes.
• Prepare supporting information for tax submissions and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to the production of management accounts and periodic financial reports.
• Manage workloads effectively to meet agreed deadlines and service standards.

Required profile

• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Interest in pursuing a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
