Assistant General Manager – Restaurant Leadership

About the role

The Assistant General Manager will support the Restaurant Manager in delivering an outstanding Nando's experience for guests and team members. This full‑time, on‑site role combines operational oversight with people development in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring food quality, service standards and health & safety compliance.
• Motivate and coach team members, driving performance and fostering a positive workplace culture.
• Manage inventory, stock ordering and waste control to meet financial targets.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction.
• Assist in recruitment, training and development of staff, identifying future leaders.
• Monitor sales data and contribute to shift planning and budgeting.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality or food service.
• Strong passion for people, food and the Nando's brand values.
• Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to deliver consistent service quality.
• Energetic, adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑changing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
