Assistant Headteacher – Primary School (KS2 Focus)

About the role

We are partnering with a Good Ofsted‑rated primary school in the London Borough of Brent to appoint an Assistant Headteacher with a strong focus on Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will join the senior leadership team in September 2026 and help drive the school’s journey towards Outstanding.

Key responsibilities

• Lead teaching and learning across Key Stage 2, ensuring high‑quality classroom practice.
• Support whole‑school improvement priorities and strategic planning.
• Coach and mentor teachers to raise attainment and improve pedagogy.
• Analyse assessment data, monitor pupil progress and implement interventions.
• Contribute to curriculum development and maintain rigorous standards.
• Promote positive behaviour, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
• Engage with staff, parents, governors and the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant KS2 teaching experience.
• Proven track record of raising standards.
• Leadership experience as an Assistant Headteacher, Phase Leader, Year Group Leader or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for every child.
