Assistant Lab Technician – Dukinfield (Part‑time, Temp)

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Lab Technician to join a well‑established manufacturing client in Dukinfield. The role is part‑time and temporary, offering a clear pathway to long‑term employment for candidates with laboratory or quality‑control experience.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine QC testing on raw materials, in‑process samples and finished products following SOPs.
• Record, analyse and interpret test data to confirm product conformity.
• Perform basic adjustments to formulations or processes as directed by Laboratory Management.
• Release finished products to the dispatch team once control plan requirements are satisfied.
• Maintain testing equipment, perform calibration checks and ensure equipment is fit for use.
• Compile QC reports and promptly communicate results to customers and internal teams.
• Escalate non‑conformances or trends that may indicate quality issues.
• Support root‑cause investigations and contribute to corrective and preventive actions.

Required profile

• Excellent reliability and punctuality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Team‑oriented attitude with a proactive approach.
• Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment, preferably QC.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.
