Assistant Legal Services Manager

About the role

The Assistant Legal Services Manager will join the Inquest Team within Legal Services at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. This is a dynamic, senior‑level position offering exposure to a broad range of coroner and inquest work across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate legal services related to coroner and inquest cases.
• Provide professional advice and support to clinical and administrative teams.
• Ensure compliance with NHS legal frameworks and statutory requirements.
• Lead and develop a small team of legal assistants.
• Maintain accurate case records and produce timely reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Qualified legal background with experience in health‑care or public sector law.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously at a corporate level.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Required skills
