Assistant Management Accountant – Glasgow

About the role

Our client is a well‑established manufacturing business in Glasgow that supplies household‑name customers across the UK. They are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support the finance team with reporting, analysis and day‑to‑day transactional work. The role is office‑based, Monday‑Friday 8:30‑16:30, with flexible start/finish times.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and analyse daily KPI reports and material‑cost trends.
• Maintain customer performance trackers and prepare management‑meeting packs.
• Process invoices, support accounts payable/receivable and perform balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and dashboards.
• Conduct transport and logistics cost analysis and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide ad‑hoc business analysis and project support.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACCA or CIMA candidate, or an ambitious Accounts Assistant looking to move into a more analytical role.
• Previous experience in a finance or accounting environment, preferably with exposure to month‑end processes.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and confidence communicating with stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including handling large data sets.
