Assistant Management Accountant

About the role

We are a specialist fleet management company looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to support our finance function. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will work in a hybrid setting in Leatherhead, helping to ensure accurate financial information across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records in line with company policies and accounting standards.
• Process, reconcile and analyse high‑value purchase invoices, including those exceeding £1 million.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and generate customer sales invoices.
• Code and process supplier purchase invoices, run supplier payments and resolve related queries.
• Monitor bank accounts, perform daily banking activities and prepare monthly bank and cash reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports and statutory returns such as VAT.
• Post accounting transactions, journals and maintain records using Sage accounting software.
• Provide administrative assistance to the Finance Director and other business areas as required.
