Assistant Manager – Coffee Retail

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager at our Costa Coffee location in Lytham St. Annes. You will help ensure the store runs smoothly, delivering an outstanding coffee experience for every customer while maintaining Costa standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in daily operations, including cash handling, stock management and adherence to company policies.
• Monitor store KPIs, Costa Check and Listen and Learn reports and translate findings into actionable daily and weekly plans.
• Lead, coach and motivate the team to provide exceptional customer service and uphold brand standards.
• Oversee in‑store marketing, food and beverage preparation, and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Step in to run the store autonomously when the Store Manager is absent.

Required profile

• Passion for coffee and people, with a strong desire to lead and take accountability.
• Excellent customer service mindset that can be shared with the team.
• Previous management experience in hospitality or retail.
• Ability to inspire, empower and support team members.
• Motivation to progress towards a Store Manager role.
