Assistant Manager – High-End Restaurant (Billericay)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join a high‑end restaurant on the outskirts of Billericay. You will work closely with the General Manager, supporting daily operations and helping to maintain the venue’s reputation for excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house activities.
• Train, coach and supervise staff to ensure consistent service standards.
• Handle busy service periods while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Support inventory control, ordering and basic financial reporting.
• Contribute to staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in a fresh‑food or restaurant environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and able to work well within a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver a high standard of service.
• Preferably holds a valid driver’s licence and has access to a car.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food and wine service standards.
• Basic understanding of restaurant operations and health & safety procedures.
