Assistant Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join a JD Sports store and help drive sales, deliver excellent customer service and uphold the brand’s standards. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will support daily operations and contribute to achieving the store’s commercial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day‑to‑day store operations, ensuring sales targets and core KPIs are met.
• Lead and motivate the shop‑floor team, allocating tasks and monitoring performance.
• Maintain JD Sports standards for visual merchandising, product presentation and customer service throughout each shift.
• Assist with stock management, opening and closing procedures and loss‑prevention activities.
• Help develop team members through coaching, training and performance feedback.
