Assistant Manager - Live In Available

About the role

Farmhouse Inns, part of Greene King, is recruiting an Assistant Manager for its pub at Chestnut Tree Farm in Ipswich. The post is full time and permanent, with 45 scheduled weekly hours and a salary of £31,000 to £35,000 plus bonus. The role involves supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business and leading the team in their absence.

Key responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business and lead the business in their absence
• Bring the brand to life by leading the team in delivering great experiences for customers
• Act as a role model for the team and support training and development
• Champion brand standards and ensure customer and team safety at all times

Required profile

• Passion for delivering great customer experiences
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to think on your feet and adapt to the demands of a busy shift
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
• Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls
• Eligibility to hold a Personal Licence, as the role may cover the business in the General Manager's absence (the licence is obtained after appointment)
