About the role

We are seeking an ambitious retail professional to join a market‑leading value retailer in Leeds as an Assistant Manager. You will support the Store Manager, lead a high‑performing team and help drive sales, shrinkage and wage control in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a department and act as Duty Manager when required.
• Support the Store Manager in achieving KPIs such as sales, shrinkage and wage control.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster team engagement.
• Oversee stock control, merchandising and compliance standards.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are consistently followed.
• Analyse store data to identify improvement and growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or similar role in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Hands‑on leader who thrives on the shop floor and motivates others.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Passionate about customer service and meeting targets.
• Proactive and eager to develop towards a Store Manager position.
