Assistant Manager – Retail (Selfridges London)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our boutique‑focused team at Selfridges London, representing the Caron Parfums brand. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will help drive daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service and support the achievement of sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Execute opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and store security.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, receive deliveries and conduct regular stock checks.
• Uphold visual merchandising standards and ensure the boutique reflects the Caron Parfums identity.
• Supervise and coach floor staff, coordinate schedules and provide performance feedback.
• Monitor sales metrics, contribute to target setting and report key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Previous retail experience, preferably in fashion, luxury or lifestyle environments.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership abilities, such as day‑to‑day supervision or key‑holder responsibilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, team members and external partners.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Cash handling expertise.
