Assistant Manager – Sports & Leisure Venue

About the role

Powerleague is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to support the Club Manager at its Milton Keynes venue. You will help drive daily operations, lead a team of staff, and ensure an outstanding experience for customers who come to play football, padel and attend events.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Club Manager in overseeing day‑to‑day venue operations and team performance.
• Drive sales, events and programme initiatives to meet or exceed club targets.
• Manage shift schedules, ensuring smooth and safe customer experiences.
• Train, coach and motivate staff, contributing to the leadership pipeline.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and facility upkeep.
• Build relationships with the local community to grow leagues and repeat business.

Required profile

• Proven experience in team leadership within sport, leisure, hospitality or retail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
• Customer‑focused mindset with strong communication and organisational skills.
• Positive, solution‑oriented attitude and a desire to progress into club leadership.
