Assistant Merchandiser – Fashion Retail

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to support the newly formed Topshop and Topman team within ASOS. You will help ensure the right products are available at the right time, supporting the growth of both online and offline channels for these iconic fashion brands.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Merchandising department.
• Forecast sales and stock levels to meet sales plans and margin targets.
• Monitor department performance, identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with Buying teams to develop range plans.
• Participate in trade meetings with senior leadership.
• Evaluate lead times and overall department performance.
• Develop and manage a Merchandising Assistant (MA) to foster their growth.
• Maintain the Weekly Stock and Sales Indicator (WSSI) and support trade plans.

Required profile

• Passion for fashion and strong understanding of the 20‑something Topshop/Topman customer.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Merchandiser or within a fashion retail merchandising team.
• Proven ability to manage weekly sales, stock, and intake.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills across all levels.
• Confidence to contribute to trade meetings and build relationships with suppliers.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
