Assistant Merchandiser

About the role

ARNE, a UK-based apparel and footwear brand based in Birchwood Park near Warrington, is looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join its team. The role supports the team in maximising sales through effective management of stock. It suits a driven, enthusiastic person with an analytical background and a love for Excel.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Monday trade reporting across ecommerce and retail for the merchandising team, with analysis and actions identifying opportunity and risk
• Create ad hoc analysis and reports to help the merchandising team and wider business make decisions
• Maintain line cards, forecast and plan sales and stock to suggest buys
• Review intake against sales, freight budgets and supplier restrictions, and support the Merchandise Administration Assistants (MAAs) in decision making
• Support the MAAs with stock ordering, including creating purchase orders, sending barcodes and managing delivery schedules
• Own the stock ordering process and create end-of-season lessons-learnt reports with commentary and insights for the Merchandisers
• Help the MAAs with training and build strong working relationships across the business

Required profile

• Experience in merchandising, as an Assistant Merchandiser or Merchandise Administration Assistant looking to progress, is essential
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong data interpretation and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and solve problems
• Ability to manage your own time

Required skills

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
