Assistant Planner

About the role

We are a leading finishing contractor delivering drylining, ceilings, partitions, fit‑out and specialist finishing packages across commercial and residential projects. The Assistant Planner will support the planning and delivery of multiple projects, ensuring programmes are kept up‑to‑date and milestones are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor project programmes using Primavera P6.
• Produce detailed construction schedules, short‑term look‑ahead plans and progress reports.
• Monitor programme performance, flag risks and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Managers and Commercial teams to capture accurate progress data.
• Support the creation of recovery programmes and mitigation strategies when required.
• Track procurement, labour and material schedules against project requirements.
• Attend planning meetings and provide programme updates and analysis.
• Maintain programme records, revisions and related documentation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a construction planning or project support role.
• Good understanding of construction processes, sequencing and delivery.
• Experience in drylining, ceilings, fit‑out, finishing or general construction environments.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
