Assistant Professor – Evidence Synthesis & Teaching

About the role

The University of Warwick is seeking an exceptional systematic reviewer to join the Warwick Screening team as an Assistant Professor. This permanent, full‑time position combines research and teaching, focusing on health screening evidence synthesis that directly informs UK national policy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and conduct systematic reviews, rapid reviews, evidence maps and cost‑effectiveness analyses of clinical effectiveness and test accuracy.
• Publish findings that shape the UK National Screening Committee’s recommendations.
• Expand and modernise the Health Screening teaching programme, including creating an online module for an international audience.
• Develop resources for industry professionals and support grant applications.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary projects and mentor junior researchers.

Required profile

• Excellent first degree and a PhD in a relevant discipline.
• Post‑doctoral experience delivering multiple systematic reviews, preferably in health screening or health policy.
• Strong leadership, independent and collaborative work style, and ability to meet tight timelines.
• Effective communication, high organisational skills and motivation to develop as an independent researcher.
