Assistant Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join a growing multi‑disciplinary consultancy in Cheltenham. Working alongside experienced Project Managers, you will support the delivery of commercial, leisure and education projects and receive mentorship towards RICS Chartership.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion.
• Coordinate communication between clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, meeting minutes and reports.
• Support the preparation and administration of construction contracts.
• Monitor project programmes, budgets, risks and change control processes.
• Maintain risk registers and project files.
• Attend and follow‑up on client, contractor and stakeholder meetings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across various sectors.

Required profile

• Construction‑related degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong interest in a career in construction project management.
• Commitment to achieve RICS Chartership with full support.
• Understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and project delivery processes.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of MS Project or similar scheduling software.
