Assistant Site Engineer – Civil Infrastructure

About the role
We are looking for a proactive Assistant Site Engineer to support our civil infrastructure projects in the Buckingham area. Working closely with senior engineers, you will contribute to setting‑out, quality control and daily site supervision on a permanent, full‑time basis.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out precise setting‑out, levelling and as‑built surveys using Total Stations and GPS/GNSS equipment.
- Interpret CAD drawings, enforce Inspection & Test Plans, conduct pre‑pour checks and manage RFIs.
- Maintain daily site logs covering labour, plant, and progress, and assist in supervising subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, permits to work and overall site health‑and‑safety standards.
Required profile
- HNC, HND or a degree in Civil Engineering.
- Practical site experience in setting‑out on civil infrastructure projects.
- Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Total Stations and GPS/GNSS surveying equipment.
- Competence in using AutoCAD for reading and producing technical drawings.
