Assistant Site Manager – Residential Construction

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of high‑quality new‑build homes for an established housebuilder in Bicester. This temporary position works closely with the Site Manager to ensure projects run safely, on time, and to the required standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager in enforcing construction methods, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate deliveries and services with utility companies, trades, and suppliers.
• Support weekly site meetings, promote clear communication and safety standards.
• Maintain site presentation, manage documentation, and conduct site inductions for all personnel.
• Monitor health and safety practices, accident reporting, and environmental policies.
• Oversee quality control, including inspections, snagging, and ensuring trades meet quality standards.
• Participate in customer‑facing activities such as home demonstrations and service visits.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant role on new‑build residential projects.
• Strong understanding of residential construction processes, building regulations, and NHBC standards.
• Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety legislation in construction.
• Valid CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid at Work certifications.
• Organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
