Assistant Site Officer – Walthamstow (Part‑time, Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Assistant Site Officer to support a new school site in Walthamstow on a temporary, part‑time basis. Working Monday to Friday from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm, you will help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with opening and securing the premises as required.
• Carry out basic maintenance, repairs and general DIY tasks.
• Ensure classrooms, communal areas and outdoor spaces are tidy and well‑maintained.
• Support deliveries, furniture moves and room set‑ups.
• Perform routine checks, report issues to the Site Manager and help uphold health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in caretaking, facilities or maintenance (desirable but not mandatory).
• Practical, dependable and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected tasks.
• Understanding of health‑and‑safety requirements in a school setting.
