Assistant, Site & Senior Site Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

Walter Thompson is seeking experienced Assistant Site Managers, Site Managers and Senior Site Managers to lead construction projects across the UK. You will be responsible for delivering projects up to £15 million, ensuring health and safety, quality and programme targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations and supervise operatives and subcontractors.
• Maintain compliance with health & safety regulations and quality standards.
• Control project budgets, schedules and resources to achieve on‑time delivery.
• Coordinate with the Head Office, Contract Managers and clients.
• Travel to assigned sites in Cambridgeshire, Midlands, West Midlands, Leicestershire and West Yorkshire as required.

Required profile

• CITB SMSTS certification.
• First Aid at Work certification.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Strong trade background with proven experience in new‑build construction.
• Experience supervising directly employed operatives and subcontractors.
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership abilities.
• Commitment to delivering projects safely, on time and to the highest quality.
