Assistant Store Manager - Fashion Retail

About the role

Apricot is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join its team at a new store opening in Touchwood Shopping Centre, Solihull. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help establish the store, lead the team and deliver an exceptional customer experience. The role is full-time and permanent, at 38.5 hours per week, with typically Tuesday and Saturday off.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with the overall performance and day-to-day running of the store
• Drive sales and KPI performance by leading by example
• Deliver excellent customer service and encourage the team to do the same
• Motivate, coach and mentor the team so they reach their potential
• Support recruitment, onboarding and development of new team members
• Monitor store performance and take action where needed
• Maintain presentation standards and visual merchandising guidelines
• Ensure paperwork and administration are accurate and on time
• Provide support and leadership in the Store Manager's absence
• Help create a positive, inclusive environment for customers and colleagues

Required profile

• Confident leading a team and enjoying the pace and variety of fashion retail
• Ideally previous management or supervisory experience in retail
• Experience working with sales targets and KPIs
• Experience supporting recruitment and developing team members
• Passion for fashion and interest in the brand
• Willingness to learn and develop
