Assistant Store Manager

About the role

Tapi is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales performance. You will work closely with the store team, helping to create a welcoming environment while ensuring operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the store team to consistently "wow" customers.
• Deputise for the Store Manager across all store operations.
• Assist in managing sales targets, team motivation, and daily store activities.
• Train and support staff to deliver the "Tapi difference" and onboard new colleagues.
• Drive personal sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
• Maintain store appearance, implement promotional changes, and handle customer complaints.
• Continuously seek improvements for customers, colleagues, and the business.
• Accurately input customer orders using Tapi’s retail technology.
• Comply with all health, safety, and security requirements.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Sales‑driven yet customer‑focused, with a consultative approach.
• Good judgement and the ability to handle difficult situations calmly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard retail point‑of‑sale (POS) systems for order entry.
