Assistant Store Manager – Retail Leadership Role in Edinburgh

About the role

We are seeking an experienced retail leader to join a busy Edinburgh store as Assistant Store Manager. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help drive sales, maintain high operational standards, and ensure an exceptional shopping experience for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Support the day‑to‑day running of a high‑traffic retail store.
• Lead, motivate and coach the team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Analyse commercial reports and make decisions to improve store performance.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and ongoing team development.
• Maintain stock control, merchandising standards and store presentation.
• Manage opening and closing procedures, including security briefings.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and operational policies.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
• Commercially minded with a solid understanding of KPIs and store performance.
• Strong people‑management and coaching abilities.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment and work flexible rotas.
