Assistant Technical Coordinator

About the role

The Assistant Technical Coordinator will support the pre‑development and technical teams of a well‑established residential developer. You will ensure that drawings, project information and technical documentation are accurately managed throughout each development lifecycle, from design to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical information between external consultants and internal departments during design and construction.
• Obtain required approvals and issue information promptly to enable site starts.
• Maintain project documentation across multiple developments, ensuring correct naming, storage and compliance.
• Carry out quality‑assurance checks to keep documentation audit‑ready.
• Support consultants on planning, technical and engineering matters.
• Act as a primary contact with local authorities, building control, warranty providers and utility companies.
• Prepare and issue handover documentation such as Home User Guides, O&M manuals and Health & Safety information.
• Work closely with site teams to ensure smooth, compliant project handovers.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a technical, architectural or coordination role within construction or housebuilding.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong numerical and data‑handling capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation.
