Assistant Warehouse Manager (Crawley)

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in keeping daily operations running smoothly. The role blends warehouse duties with delivering garage doors across the South East and Midlands, offering a mix of hands‑on work and customer‑facing travel.

Key responsibilities

• Load vehicles with the correct doors and spare parts and ensure safe transport.
• Drive to regular customers in the South East and Midlands, delivering and unloading doors and spares.
• Lead the team in preparing vehicles for the next day’s deliveries.
• Assist in the store during busy periods – picking, packing and using courier systems.
• Manage trade‑counter enquiries, provide product information and dispatch orders.
• Check in new deliveries, control stock, rotate doors and prepare larger deliveries.
• Act as key holder and oversee warehouse operations in the manager’s absence.
• Maintain and clean vans and perform general warehouse upkeep.
• Accurately use Sage systems for inventory and invoicing.

Required profile

• Clean driving licence (maximum 3 points).
• Proven experience in warehouse operations and forklift handling.
• Good knowledge of South East driving routes.
• Physically fit for heavy lifting.
• Strong communication, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Sage (inventory/financial) system proficiency.
• Forklift operation.
