Associate Consultant – Recruitment (Permanent & Contract)

About the role

VWA, a boutique recruitment consultancy with over 35 years of experience, is seeking an ambitious Associate Consultant to join its Permanent team. You will support consultants across permanent, contract and temporary searches, developing commercial and people‑focused skills in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take briefings on permanent, fixed‑term and temporary‑to‑permanent roles from clients.
• Source, interview and vet candidates to a high standard.
• Build long‑term relationships with clients and candidates based on honesty and trust.
• Drive business development and client relationship management campaigns.
• Upload candidate information to client recruitment portals and manage registration, testing and reference processes.
• Conduct right‑to‑work checks and format candidate CVs.
• Collaborate with colleagues on shared roles and handle ad‑hoc administrative projects.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a client‑facing, account or relationship management role.
• Proven business development interest or experience.
• Natural networker with an approachable, confident manner.
• Clear, professional communication and ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to perform disciplined, sustained BD and CRM work.
