Associate Director – Applied AI

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead applied AI initiatives for a global consulting practice. You will work with C‑suite clients to identify AI opportunities, shape innovative solutions and oversee delivery of secure, scalable programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sales origination and business development across strategic accounts.
• Shape and close consulting opportunities from initial engagement to contract award.
• Design and launch AI and Generative AI solutions that address industry‑specific challenges.
• Engage senior executives, translating AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
• Direct delivery of complex AI programmes, overseeing solution architecture and implementation.
• Ensure responsible, compliant deployment of AI technologies, including governance and risk management.
• Build, mentor and lead high‑performing consulting teams while maintaining commercial performance.

Required profile

• Strong commercial understanding of the modern AI ecosystem, including Generative AI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation and Vector Databases.
• Proven experience leading enterprise‑scale AI implementations and delivering outcomes.
• Knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated AI services.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to senior business and technology stakeholders.
