Associate Director – Building Services (Leeds)

About the role

Our client, a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, is seeking an Associate Director to lead and grow its Building Services capability in Leeds and across Yorkshire. This senior position offers strategic leadership of a new regional team while delivering high‑profile projects across a variety of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction to establish and expand the Building Services team in the Leeds market.
• Recruit, mentor and develop technical staff, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Lead MEP engineering input across all project stages, ensuring technical quality and programme delivery.
• Oversee commercial performance, fee proposals and successful bid preparation.
• Champion sustainable, low‑carbon and energy‑efficient design solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• Chartered Engineer status.
• Proven track record of leading Building Services projects and developing client relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience preparing successful bids.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
