A driven Associate Director Building Surveyor is needed to lead a commercial building surveying team within a well‑established London property consultancy. The role blends client delivery, team leadership and business development, offering a clear pathway to Director level.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of commercial building surveying projects and professional instructions.
• Lead client relationships, secure repeat business and develop new fee‑earning opportunities.
• Prepare fee proposals, tenders and supporting documentation.
• Oversee team workloads, project delivery and financial performance.
• Provide professional advice, negotiate confidently and ensure compliance with RICS and regulatory standards.
• Mentor junior surveyors and maintain high reporting standards.
• Contribute to the growth of the London office.

Required profile

• MRICS qualification.
• Relevant building surveying degree or related qualification.
• Strong commercial building surveying experience.
• Proven experience managing projects and professional instructions.
• Existing client relationships or a professional network.
• Track record of winning, retaining or expanding fee‑earning work.
• Leadership or team‑management experience.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
