Associate Director – Construction Cost Consultancy

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Director to lead our construction cost consultancy practice, based in Edinburgh (or Glasgow). The role combines leadership, client management and project oversight across a range of sectors in Scotland.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and nurture client relationships
• Assist with management duties of a Professional Quantity Surveying (PQS) practice
• Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors
• Act on behalf of the company in Quantity Surveying or Employer’s Agent capacities
• Oversee successful delivery of projects across residential, hotels & leisure, education, industrial, public buildings, commercial and office fit‑out sectors
• Maintain high standards of project documentation and reporting
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team

Required profile

• Relevant educational background in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Chartered qualification (MRICS or equivalent)
• Strong leadership and management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in the listed sectors
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model
